Services
I design and build various items including cutting boards, cabinets, built-in furniture, shelving and in the Fall will start doing adirondack chairs and fold out picnic tables. I am constantly looking into new projects and skills that will expand my abilities and hand-built products. I also do renovation and painting between shop days. Please look at some pictures in the gallery.
Cutting Boards
I build an assortment of custom cutting boards, mostly out of maple and walnut. Other woods are available, but those two are best because of their hardness and aesthetic beauty. Not all woods are suitable for cutting boards. I hand pick all of the boards myself from one of two lumber yards that let me sort through their stacks for as long as I want. All boards are glued with food safe glue and finished with 3 coats of food safe “bowl finish”. I can make any size and shape and welcome custom orders. I have recently ordered a laser engraver and will be personalizing boards as soon as I master its operation. Pictures of that will be added as soon as possible, but please look at the ones I already have in the gallery of some of the boards I have recently made.
Renovation
I have done a wide variety of small and large renovations over the years. In an effort to make our experience as easy and convenient as possible, I do as much as I can to work around your schedule and be as transparent as I can be regarding time frames and pricing. All work is either completely done by me or strictly supervised by me to make sure everything is done to my spec.
